Yesterday, Juventus played out to a 1-1 draw against Chievo at the Juventus Stadium and earned their first point of the season. Here’s what we learned from this game.
After going down by a goal in the sixth minute mark, the Italian champions threw countless men forward in search for the equalizer. Inevitably, they would find the goal they were looking for thanks to the exploits of Juan Cuadrado. The Colombian was played through on goal and was taken down by a Chievo defender earning his side a valuable penalty shot. Newly-arrived striker, Paulo Dybala subsequently dispatched the spot-kick expertly meaning Juventus and Chievo would share the spoils on the night. For Juventus, the result is a worrying one as it means that they have only got one point from a possible nine to start the season. For the Flying Donkeys, on the other hand, it confirms their storming start to the new season and puts them on an impressive seven points. The game, while it may not have been the best Serie A has to offer in terms of quality of play, taught us a few things.
