1. Elseid Hysaj has been playing much better lately.
Hysaj showed that he has stepped his game up with his performance against Juventus on Sunday. The right fullback defended Mario Mandzukic on the left wing throughout the match. Hysaj did well to limit Mandzukic’s chances. The Albanian international also did well to support Higuain in pressing against Juve’s attack.
Hysaj contributed in the attack on multiple occasions in the match apart from his defensive duties. The 23-year-old showed an ability to move the ball down the field and up the right flank. He even delivered a couple of crosses on the attack. Hysaj battled until the end even though the first half seemed a bit better than the second for the defender.
The game against Juventus marked Hysaj’s 100th appearance in the Serie A. Hysaj averages 2.1 tackles and 1.6 clearances per game in the Serie A with the Partenopei, according to whoscored.com. The defender also averages 57 passes per game and completes them at an 86.4 percent success rate. Hysaj continues to look to reach the level of play he displayed last season.
