Hernanes says Juventus must fight until the end and look to push forward with few games left and a Coppa Italia Final still to play.
In an interview with JTV, Hernanes spoke about his season so far with Juventus and how the club is heading in the right direction after a rough start to the campaign:
After a start to the season which we were not at our best, we’ve fixed everything. I have settled well and I am happy to be here in Torino. I believe this is can be seen on the pitch as well. We are going through a good period, we have found our pace and the right mentality after an underwhelming start to the season. No we must show our strength because great athletes are seen in the final sprint. There are eight games remaining, plus the Coppa Italia Final therefore we have to keep pushing forward to finish in front of everyone.
The Scudetto race will be a balanced one because the squads that are chasing us are doing well and the Coppa Italia Final is a one-off game where anything can happen. We want to finish the season in a great style and we will confront the final sprint with all our strength.
The Brazilian also provided his thoughts on the upcoming fixture against Empoli and their Champions League elimination by Bayern Munich:
We have to go into the game against Empoli with the right approach because now we cannot afford to get things wrong. In Italy, no game is won or lost before playing, you have to earn everything on the pitch.
We must not have any regrets of losing to Bayern but have the awareness that we played up to par. It was a balanced tie and Bayern did not particularly worry me because I thought we could go through. We learned a lot from both games. Therefore there are no regrets, we hold our heads high and we are already thinking about next year because we must face teams of that level with even more awareness and conviction to gain satisfaction in Europe too.
