A deadline day move for Candreva to Chelsea Football Club has been met with a firm “no” by Inter Milan.
Chelsea have been linked to a number of wingers capable of playing the wing-back role in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2. After reports of interest in Biabiany, Chelsea have again been linked with Inter Milan midfielder Antonio Candreva who they tried to purchase from Lazio this summer.
Conte’s pursuit in such a player has been intensified today, with veteran defender, Branislav Ivanovic, reportedly on the verge of a move to Zenit St. Petersburg.
The Italian international has proven to be one of Inter Milan’s key players during his 6 months at the San Siro thus far, and according to Gazzetta.it, the nerazzuri were quick to reject Chelsea’s reported offer of 30 million euros.
It seems that Inter and Pioli have been able to hold onto one of their star players, for now.
