Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has set his sights on acquiring either Antonio Conte or Massimiliano Allegri and has rejected Diego Simeone as a possibility.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has rejected the idea of having Diego Simeone as his side’s manager. The Chelsea boss doesn’t appreciate Simeone’s style of football and will instead opt for other managers. Abramovich, however, is said to be a big fan of both Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte for the Chelsea bench and would like to get either of them in the summer. He also ruled out the possibility of signing Manuel Pellegrini, who will be leaving Manchester City at the end of the season.
In recent weeks, Allegri has quashed the rumours linking him with the Blues and insists that now is not the time to discuss his future. Conte, by contrast, is reportedly taking English lessons in preparation for his next move. The Azzurri boss has always been keen on managing in the Premier League and maintains that his biggest regret as a player is not moving abroad at least once.
