After months of negotiations, Brazilian midfielder Allan has renewed his deal with Napoli tying him to the club for the foreseeable future.
Earlier today, Napoli confirmed that Allan penned a deal with the club until June 2023. The player highlighted his satisfaction on his Instagram page.
“Extremely happy to continue wearing and defending these colours for another five years! Hopefully they are full with joy and success for the team and the fans! I’m staying here to win.”
The former Udinese man has been in sensational form this season making 37 appearances for Napoli in all competitions, scoring four goals and assisting a further four in the process. Since joining Sarri’s side, Allan has taken his game to the next level and has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the peninsula. His previous deal was set to expire in June 2019, and Napoli had no intentions of letting him go anywhere despite interest from abroad.
With Jorginho and Hamsik also demonstrating their desire to remain at the club, the partenopei have managed to maintain the spine of the side intact in the short-term. As the Scudetto race intensifies, Allan’s contract renewal will come as a morale booster for the locker room and the fans.
