The Juventus coach discussed his teams positive 2-0 result in their first leg against Porto.

Massimiliano Allegri was interviewed by Sky Sports, after their win over Porto in the Champions League.

The coach was asked about Bonucci and his omission from the squad and was made to watch the game from the stands:

Bonucci’s omission?

“The case regarding Bonucci is already closed. In fact, thank him for having raised the tension within the squad … Now we must prepare to play again on Saturday.”

On the match itself?

“It was a test of maturity. Well done all the guys who performed tonight, there is room to improve, but we are satisfied with this result. It takes desire to continue to win and we have to give our best to the very end.”

Are these the games you enjoy the most?

“We were mature and aware of our quality. The games where you can expose the other team and control the game are the ones I thrive on.”

Juventus face Empoli next. Will Bonucci return?

“I have five central defenders available, four will play, I have plenty of options… I must thank the doctors for helping Barzagli and Chiellini recover in time for this match.”
