In the wake of the bianconeri’s victory over Dynamo Zagreb, Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri is happy with his boys performance and looks ahead to a tricky encounter against city rivals Torino
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke to media in the post-game at Juventus Stadium, after watching his boys beat Croatian champions Dynamo Zagreb.
“The change of formation was to put more men in the middle of the field – the twelve league matches were won in different ways, we give a few reference points and move more. In the first half we were slow, while in the second half we did better because Dynamo opened up and dropped off physically. It was important to win at home and to gain first place in Group H and because we had not won at home in this Champions League edition. We shall see if being in pot 1 works out better for us”, he told Mediaset.
On the attacking trident formed by Mandzukic-Higuain and Dybala, Allegri said, “Maybe we can propose it again”. Then appreciated Pjanic’s performance as a trequartista: “Pjanic played a good game, even though space was tight, he made good moves”.
Allegri finished his presser by turning his attention to Juve’s upcoming fixtures: “at the moment we think about the match against Torino, then we have two league games and then the Italian Supercup.
We have all the right ingredients to do well but we can improve our quality of, and order in, game play and not to concede too many shots on goal”.
