Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri spoke to the media following his side’s convincing win against Empoli.

In his post-match press conference, Allegri told reporters:

“The players did really well today on a difficult pitch which caused us problems to stay up on foot. We conceded one too many counter attacks because we couldn’t close them down. The second half was another game altogether. After the game, it was pretty easy. We have to improve but from a technical standpoint, we did good. The maturity in which the players managed the three goal lead was good even if we could have moved the ball better.”

Recently Higuain said he would have liked to see Dybala play closer to him in attack. Today, a reporter asked Allegri if he thought the Argentine duo were too far from each other. He said:

“With the winter and the cold, they’ll play closer together (laughs)

When asked what he liked from this performance, he said:

I’m happy with how we worked over the past few days. In defence, we took a few risks today because we were out of sorts a bit. In midfield, we don’t have players who cover a lot of the field defensively therefore in some cases we have to slow down the game. It’s been 40 says that we’re working together, including various stops for the international breaks. Winning is all the matters, the rest is just talk.”

On Pjaca’s cameo appearance, he said:

“He’s a player that has to grow, but he’s also doing very good. Him like Cuadrado, has characteristics to change the game coming off the bench.”

Allegri concluded by talking about Pjanic’s game. The former Milan tactician said:

“Today, I’m very happy with his performance. He gave key passes and remained concentrated. He gave quality to our game.”
