Arek Milik is back with Napoli’s first team after being sidelined for three months with an injury.
Napoli’s official Twitter account has announced that Arek Milik has returned to full-time training after an injury that sidelined the Poland striker for three months.
Napoli have dealt well without their star striker, contrary to popular predictions. Players like Callejon, Hamsik and Mertens have taken on the goal-scoring burden which helped Napoli finish at the top of their Champions League group and they currently sit in third in Serie A, only seven points out of first place.
Milik’s anterior cruciate ligament injury came back in October while on international duty with Poland and today, Napoli announced his return in a tweet that read, “Arek is healed! He can return to training with the group. Welcome back.”
Milik has seven goals in nine games for Napoli and his return is ever more apparent as Napoli’s upcoming fixtures include a round of 16 clash against Champions League winners Real Madrid.
