Arsenal have made it very clear that they are keen on acquiring Danish Mid-fielder Patrick Olsen. The only problem is that Olsen is currently under contract with Inter, and the Milan club have every intention of including him in their first team now and in the future.
It’s easy to understand why Arsenal would be interested in Olsen, his talent reaches no limits and at the age of only 19, his best days are clearly ahead of him. Arsenal showed a willingness to open up the wallet this summer with the transfer of Mesut Ozil, a move that clearly demonstrates a commitment to winning, and winning now. The potential addition Olsen would further strengthen and already solid squad.
Olsen is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2014-2015 season. In order for Arsenal to be successful with this purchase, the transfer fee would have to be substantial. Olsen has yet to appear in a meaningful game for Inter, but that is set to change this season, with new manager Walter Mazzarri promising more first team minutes for the young Dane. Olsen has had a very successful youth career for Denmark, appearing in 43 matches and scoring twice.
Most recently Olsen appeared in the 2013 Guinness Cup for Inter, a pre-season competition that took place in North America.
