Everton’s bid for the coveted Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie has been rejected by Atalanta.
According to Sky Sports, Everton submitted a bid of 18 million euro for Atalanta’s Franck Kessie, however their approach has been rejected by Atalanta who deem the figure to low.
The report also implies that Atalanta are resigned to losing the Ivorian and will push for the highest value possible.
Atalanta have stunned a number of teams this season, resulting in several clubs looking to poach their best and brightest talents. Roberto Gagliardini’s transfer to Inter is set to be announced officially on Wednesday, and La Dea received yet another large sum for one of their prospects.
Currently on duty with Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, Kessie has played in 16 Serie A games, scoring six goals for the Bergamo outfit. Besides Ronald Koeman’s Toffees, Kessie is being tracked by Chelsea and Juventus, two clubs who could surely drive the price up in a potential bidding war; now or in June.
