Hat-trick hero Carlos Bacca highlighted his satisfaction at his side’s performance and underlined Vincenzo Montella’s good work at the club.
In his post-match interview with Premium Sport, the Colombian told reporters:
“It’s everybody’s triumph. I finished some plays but there was also Donnarumma, (who stopped a penalty) and the entire team. Everybody worked hard, even the fans. Montella? You can already see his work in play, we are keeping the ball well. We could have scored more in the first half and been more comfortable. Shortly we’ll be at 100% and be familiar with everything Montella is teaching us.”
When asked if he’d like to dedicate his hat-trick to anybody, Bacca said:
“I’d like to dedicate it to my son who has always asked me to bring the ball home. Now I’ve done it. Results arrive with hard work. I gave my son his dream. This is another reason I didn’t let Niang take the penalty even after he asked for it. I wanted to score this hat-trick.”
