Despite finding game time difficult to come by so far this season, Chievo Verona shot stopper Francesco Bardi has rejected interest from Serie B side Catania and the chance of regular football.
22 year old Bardi started the season as the Flying Donkeys number one, making nine appearances in Serie A, but he soon lost his place in the side to 37 year old Albano Bizzarri. With the Inter owned youngster now consigned to sitting on the sidelines it soon sparked rumours of a possible transfer this month.
The latest club to be linked with Bardi is Serie B side Catania. According to Gianluca di Marzio.com, Chievo and Catania are trying to strike a deal which would see Bardi head to Sicily and Elefanti keeper Alberto Frison head in the other direction.
The already complicated deal, due to the presence of Bardi’s parent club Inter, has become even more difficult due to Bardi’s reluctance in Joining Catania
