Benevento have struggled for most of their first season in Serie A, just picking up 7 points in 20 matches. Therefore, reinforcements on the transfer market are needed if they are to compete at the level of the Serie A.
The club from Campania have struggled immensely this season. Despite this struggle, they have pulled off a pretty surprising signature from Brazilian midfielder, Sandro.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Italia, the ex QPR and Spurs player has signed on loan with obligation to buy. Di Marzio also states that the player could possibly stay even in the event of relegation to Serie B.
Sandro could certainly bolster Benevento’s hopes of salvation. They have a lot to work upon, however with 2 wins in a row and the signing of Sandro, there’s room for optimism.
