Lazio expect new deal for Lucas Biglia to be concluded before Christmas.
According to tuttomercatoweb, Biglia’s entourage are set to meet with the Lazio hierarchy in December. It is understood that the Argentina International will be offered a three year extension on his current contract, paying close to €3 million per year.
The Lazio captain missed most of September and October with a calf injury but has been in good form for I Biancocelesti since his return to the side. The influential holding midfielder scored his first goal of the season in Lazio’s win over Genoa on the weekend.
Having joined Lazio from Anderlecht back in July 2013, mustering 315 appearances for the Capital Club so far, talk of a contract extension will not only be a welcomed early Christmas present for the 30 year old fan favourite, but will provide a boost in Lazio’s pursuit of the top three in Serie A.
