Bologna players have systematically rebelled to the club demands of concentrating the team in a hotel to prepare for the next match.
The executives, along with the coach Stefano Pioli, had taken that decision after the heavy 3-0 defeat against Fiorentina last Sunday.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Bologna’s most representative players held several meetings with the club’s president Albano Guaraldi, in which they manifested their intention of being in the city rather than secluded in a hotel in order not to hide for the respect of the supporters.
Later on, captain Alessandro Diamanti denied to the press any kind of revolution of the players to the club.
“Everything that has been said on the media is a lie because there hasn’t been any rebellion from the players,” said the 30-year-old.
“I can definitely assure that both players and executives are on the same page and we have the same objective of improving our results,” he concluded.
