Roberto Donadoni could be welcoming another attacker to his side as Bologna appear set to complete a deal for Riccardo Orsolini.
After a series of back and forth talks throughout the month, Bologna are finally going to get their man in Atalanta’s Riccardo Orsolini.
According to Sky Sport reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, the skilled U-21 Italian talent looks set to join the Rossoblu as an agreement has been reached with his parent club Juventus.
Orsolini, who first turned quite a few heads last winter while dazzling at Serie B side Ascoli, was purchased by ‘the Old Lady’ last winter for €6 million plus bonuses after both AC Milan and Chelsea reportedly fancied his services as a piece for the future.
Shortly after his move to Turin, he was loaned out to Gian Piero Gasperini’s young and inspiring Atalanta side on a two-year term for further seasoning, but has since found it difficult to break into the team, playing in just 116 league minutes.
Barring any injuries to the Gasperini’s side in their first-leg Coppa Italia semi-final with Juventus tonight in Bergamo, Orsolini will reportedly undergo his medical tomorrow that will see him complete his switch to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara where he aims to impress in the top flight for the second half of the Serie A season.
