AC Milan’s Giacomo Bonaventura talked about the match against Genoa, and its impact
Giacomo Bonaventura talked to Premium Sport post match:
On the game against Genoa:
“It was a tough game, we needed to do more. Genoa put us in some difficulty, and we didn’t play our game.
“I believe that today we can learn from this experience. We are a young team, our season isn’t negative, and we can use this to grow.”
Improvement in the second half:
“In the second half the pace dropped a bit and we could play our style of game.
“This is why we did better, but still it wasn’t enough to stop Genoa, because we could not block their counterattacks.
“Playing here, against Genoa, is always going to be difficult, they did not allow us any space.”
Losing pace with the top of the ladder:
“It was a great chance to go first in the standings, but we did not have the strength to win.
“We’re disappointed, but we are a young team and this will make us grow further.”
Still on the match:
“We were prepared for this type of game, but the first goal that we conceded shocked us.”
On Paletta’s sending off:
“He wanted to intercept the ball, but is passed him.
“If he had touched the ball he would not have seen the read.
“It is an episode that has hurt us, but its happened now. With eleven players on the pitch we might have had a better opportunity to equalize.
“We will mature after this loss”
