Croatia head coach Ante Cacic has called up 23 players for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers. Included in the list is Inter outcast Marcelo Brozovic ,who has been frozen out of the squad by head coach Frank De Boer after showing his displeasure when he was subbed off in a Europa League game. In addition, Cacic has called up eight Serie A players who make up 35% of the squad.
The following are the 23 players called up for Croatia’s World Cup Qualifiers.
Goalkeepers: Danijel Subasic (Monaco), Lovre Kalinic (Hajduk), Ivan Vargic (Lazio).
Defenders: Sime Vrsaljko (Atletico Madrid), Vedran Ćorluka (Lokomotiv), Domagoj Vida (Dynamo Kiev), Dejan Lovren (Liverpool), Ivan Strinić (Napoli), Josip Pivarić (Dinamo), Tin Jedvaj (Bayer Leverkusen).
Midfielders: Luka Modrić (Real Madrid), Ivan Rakitić (Barcelona), Ivan Perišić (Inter Milan), Milan Badelj (Fiorentina), Mateo Kovačić (Real Madrid), Marcelo Brozović (Inter).
Forwards: Marko Pjaca (Juventus), Duje Čop (Sporting Gijon), Mario Mandžukić (Juventus), Nikola Kalinic (Fiorentina), Andrej Kramarić (Hoffenheim).
