The young Sard’s stock keeps on rising for Il Casteddu.

Tommaso Giulini, President of Cagliari has again raised the price on his prized possession, Nicolo’ Barella.

Barella has been the subject of interest from a handful of Italy’s top clubs, including Roma, Inter and Juventus. Speaking to the press, Giulini said the following.

“I read everything on the renewal, but we didn’t raise the price [the release clause]. Nicolo’ deserved a better wage and another year on his contract. We want to improve, get better and we’ll do everything we can to keep Nicolo another season.

“Sure, if an irrefutable offer arrived, upwards of €50 million then we’d have to discuss it. We’d take that €50 million and heavily reinforce the roster.”
