Napoli leaped ahead of Inter with their new offer for Antonio Candreva, which leaves the Lazio player to seriously consider a Napoli move, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
In previous weeks, it seemed as if Inter was in the lead for Candreva’s signature not only offer wise, but also being the team that the player was most interested in joining this upcoming season.
The partenopei have kept a strong interest in the Italian winger, and have proposed € 24 million plus bonuses to Lazio for Candreva’s services. This is an offer that Inter may not match, therefore giving the nerazzurri a slimmer chance at signing Candreva, and an advantage to Napoli.
Candreva waited for Inter, but with this news he has opened up to the possibility of joining Napoli and is ready to consider an offer.
Napoli and Candreva will now try to negotiate a deal. The process may be in the early stages, but Candreva now seems closer to Napoli.
The Lazio winger was not able to participate in the last group stage match and the knockout round of the 2016 Euro tournament with Italy. However, in the two matches he did play for the Azzurri, he contributed greatly and showed the quality he possesses. The club that signs Candreva will gain an instant boost in talent, and Napoli looks to be that team.
