The President of the FIGC expects to see an Italian squad hungry for success at the EURO.
While at the departure gate of Rome’s Fiumicino Airport for his charter flight to France, FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio took the time to talk TuttoMercatoWeb about the Azzurri:
The group is closely-knit. The lads are doing very well. They are focused and are hungry for victories. We want to do well at the EURO, then everything else we witness will be thanks to the Lord. There is great excitement for this EURO, also because we have not won it for many years.
Tavecchio later commented on the terrorism alert and security going into the summer tournament:
We have confidence in a great country like France who know how to protect the event.
