The President of the FIGC puts his trust into Antonio Conte and the 23-players chosen to represent Italy at the EURO.
In a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio spoke about the belief he has in the Azzurri heading into the start of the EURO:
Beyond the skepticism, I have the duty to say that a National Team like ours always plays to win and then despite the problems, we will play for this. The three reasons to be confident: Conte’s work, the presence of young players driven by the competitive hunger and the awareness of the players to defend the colors of a great country.
On the 23-players chosen by Antonio Conte:
If he chose them, I have to trust him without ifs or buts.
On the newly appointed CT, Giampiero Ventura:
He is a manager that knows how to value young players. He taught football to many coaches, there is not much more to say.
