AS Roma lost the lead, but not their head.
Leandro Castan, giallorosso defender, told Goal.com “We are happy with our performance thus far, given the two goals conceded thus far and of the great work in practice during the week. Juventus has taken the lead? It will be a difficult tournament, as Napoli and Inter are also aiming at the top spots”.
The Brazilian then admits: “It won’t be easy, we’ve done well so far but we must work hard to return to top spot in Serie A. We must stay close to Juventus in order to reap any set backs the first opportunity”.
Castan then reveals some dark moments on his first months in Italy: “There was a difficult period, my first six months in Italy were very trying. Garcia and Sabatini, however, supported me and convinced me to stay. Now I want to repay them with my performances and show all my best qualities”. Romanisti all over are appreciative already.
Bad news, however, for the giallorosso defence, as the Maroccan defenceman Mehdi Benatia has a contracture on his right calf, and will likely be out for the game versus Atalanta. Burdisso is ready to replace him.
