Lowly Cesena have acquired the services of veteran midfielder Gaby Mudingayi, in the hope that the Belgian’s vast experience in Serie A may stave off the clubs immediate return to Serie B.
The 33 year old is available to join up with his new teammates straight away as a result of being a free agent instead of having to wait for the transfer window to open once again in the summer.
Mudingayi has a huge amount of experience of playing in Serie A having already been on the books of four separate Italian clubs, including Inter. The midfielder’s last club before becoming a free agent was Elche in Spain.
ANSA.it is reporting that the players has already been training with his new teammates for the past week and will take the number 26 jersey at the club.
Mudingayi will be hoping to add to his 205 appearances in Serie A so far and to keeping the Emilia-Romagna side in Italy’s top flight.
