Napoli will travel to the Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last sixteen tie while Juventus face off against FC Porto.
Despite finishing top of their group Napoli have been rewarded with a tough draw against defending European Champions, Real Madrid. Although they finished runners up in their group behind Borussia Dortmund, Los Blancos are top of La Liga, six points clear of 2nd place Barcelona and remain unbeaten in both their La Liga and Champions League campaigns so far this season. The positive for the Partenopei is they will play the second leg in front of their own fans at the San Paolo.
Napoli’s form has picked up as of late, scoring at will in Serie A, with owner Aurelio De Laurentiis taking to twitter to welcome the draw with Madrid as a “Beautiful and fascinating challenge”

“Real Madrid will be two great evenings of sport! Forza Napoli Sempre #ADL”
Meanwhile Juventus will face FC Porto a the Estadio do Dragao in their first leg tie in the last 16. The Portuguese side made sure of their place in the last 16 by humbling group leaders and English Premier League Champions, Leicester City, finishing two points behind Claudio Ranieri’s side.
The draw could have been worse for Juve as they avoided the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG and Manchester City, who all finished 2nd in their respective groups, however, Massimiliano Allegri explained the Bianconeri are not taking the 2004 Champions League winners for granted;
Non avevo ansie particolari oggi perché so che questa Juve può giocarsela con chiunque: a questo livello non esistono però partite semplici.

“I had no particular anxieties today because I know that this Juve can gamble with anyone: At this level there are however no simple games”.
