The future of the Spain forward is all but certain due to the complex nature of his transfer.

When Juventus purchased Alvaro Morata for around €22 million in 2014, there was the “recompra” or buy back clause that Real Madrid put in the deal as a safety net in case Morata became a big player. Well, he did and now this summer it’s time for an end to the madness. Real Madrid have the next move.
While the Bianconeri want to ensure Morata stays in Turin, Real Madrid could activate the buyback clause which by now is over €30 million and then the be brought back to Turin on another deal. According to Gazzetta dello Sport the Old Lady is willing to offer a €25 million fee to Los Blancos after they buy back Morata to settle the ‘recompra’ clause. Complicated, right?
However, there is another player, if Real Madrid choose to buy back Morata they could look elsewhere to cash in. Chelsea have already expressed interest in the Spaniard and could offer a reported €40 million to acquiesce Real to conduct business with them.
Morata’s future may very well be out of his own hands, but in recent days he’s posted pictures of himself with the Turinese skyline in the background. It’s as if he doesn’t want to leave Italy at all.
