Chievo are going to face some stiff competition if they hope to lure a former Barcelona attacker to their club.
According to Sportitalia, Real Betis are planning to go head-to-head with Chievo for the signature of Spanish winger Isaac Cuenca, currently on the books at Bursaspor. They also report via Mundo Sportivo that the 24-year old would prefer a move back to his native Spain which essentially gives a Betis an advantage over the Mussi Volanti.
Cuenca spent time with Barcelona’s B team before earning a call up to the Senior side in 2012. Unable to truly hold down a spot at Barcelona, he signed with Deportivo La Coruna on a free transfer in the summer of 2014 then moved to Bursaspor on the same type of deal a year later. He currently has one goal in twelve appearances for the Turkish club.
