Chievo Verona boss Eugenio Corini analyzed today’s match versus Cagliari that inaugurated Serie A’s 2014.
“It was a very tactical match against a strong quality side. The two teams annihilated each other playing attentive football, as often is the case in Serie A. Beside the penalty, Cagliari never shot on goal or created real scoring chances, while we had at least three”, he told Sky.
Corini then shares his thoughts on Chievo’s seasonal trend: “We came off two losses, while they came off a six-game undefeated streak, thus this is a very valuable point for us – especially if one considers our starting point”.
Chievo Verona have 16 points, are fully immersed in the relegation battle, sitting in 5th last position.
