With the departure of ex German International Miroslav Klose, Lazio has been in the market for a striker for some time. They may have finally found their man in ex Torino striker Ciro Immobile.
Serie A’s leading goal scorer from the 2013-2014 season is set to return to Italy on a permanent basis. The currently owned Sevilla attacker is reported to be very close to a 8.5 million euro move to the Biancocelesti in hopes of becoming one of Serie A’s top goalscorers again. The transfer includes more than a 500,000 euro bonus depending on Immobile’s performance.
The contract would be for 5 years worth 2 million euro per season. Although Immobile has struggled for playing time at Sevilla and at his former club Borussia Dortmund, the Italian international has proved to be a massive threat in Serie A. His last two stints with Torino saw him score 27 goals in 47 matches.
