Antonio Conte and Chelsea are heavily interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Marco Verratti and would like to bring the midfielder to the club in January.
“We will not let him leave even if he is a desired player,” said Paris Saint-German manager Unai Emery when discussing the Verratti rumours. Juventus have been following the player closely for some time now and have been keeping tabs on him. Inter are also said to be interested in the midfielder as Suning have included him in the list of summer transfer targets. However, there are many teams interested in the player.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are interested in signing Verratti in the January transfer window. The midfielder is reportedly Chelsea’s number one target in January. Roman Abramovich would like to win the Premier League title this season and Conte has identified the midfielder as his priority number one.
It won’t be easy to get Verratti as the player’s contract only expires in June 2021 and PSG value him at 45 to 50 million euros. Oscar’s departure to China could open up some capital to fund this move, however, it remains to be seen what Chelsea do with the money. Juventus and Inter have been put on alert.
