Fiorentina’s Pantaleo Corvino spoke on offers for Nikola Kalinic as well as Stevan Jovetic.
The Fiorentina General Manager spoke to RTV 38 on various issues relating to the Viola and their transfer campaign:
“Kalinic? I turned down an offer of over 25 million euro for him this summer. This shows that teams are enthusiastic about our players, of which each player has the desire to do well. If our player expresses the great desire to remain at Fiorentina, then we are content with that.”
“The idea around Jovetic? Initially it was not in our plans because of his high salary. Then the possibility opened with Inter, as they could help and we thought there was a chance, but at some point the president of the Nerazzurri decided to remove Jovetic from the market and there was no room for negotiation.”
“With the coach and his staff now we are only focused on the present, we do not think of the market.”
Though Fiorentina rejected major money for their Croatian striker, it’s likely more interest will arrive as the winter months approach.
