Today, Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg announced that defender Domenico Criscito is a part of Antonio Conte’s preliminary 30-man roster.
In an official statement, the Russian outfit wrote that the left back will be in Conte’s 30-man roster before he makes his final cuts ahead of the Euros. As a result, he will be in the team for the friendlies against Scotland on the 29th of May and against Finland on the 6th of June.
In 2012, Criscito was forced to leave the Italy camp due to his ties with the match-fixing scandal at the time. Fast forward four years and the veteran defender is once again in the Azzurri setup. Whether he will make it or not will heavily depend on his performances in the two friendlies. Criscito has however had a good season in Russia and has a strong case to go.
