Davide Nicola expects his squad to compete in every game they play in from here on out after losing the opening game to their season.

Crotone made their inaugural Serie A bow today and although it ended in a 1-0 defeat to Bologna, manager Davide Nicola commented on the fight his squad plan to bring for the rest of the season, in an post-game interview with Radio Rai.

We had difficulty with a few men who did not have 90 minutes in their legs. Certain situations were more fluid to exit with aggression but we played our game and we are in a situation in which we have to complete the squad. I am confident, I know very well what our role is in this championship and it is to fight in every game. I am disappointed that the goal came at a moment in which I thought we could snatch a point. This is Serie A, it is nothing new. Crotone will prove to be competitive against anyone. It is clear we need to be aware that we are in a different reality than the other clubs.
