AC Milan defender Gabriel Paletta looks set to rescind his current contract at the club, and hopes to find a new home this month.
Gabriel Paletta was a main fixture in the Rossoneri eleven last year under Vincenzo Montella, but after the summer splurge that saw the likes of Leonardo Bonucci and Mateo Musacchio join the club, the Argentine-born Italian has taken a back-seat and is now hoping to move on with his career.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 31-year old defender is set to rescind his contract that will free up a departure from the San Siro this month, perhaps heading over to join Turkish side Fenerbahce on a free transfer.
The former Boca Juniors, Liverpool and Parma man has seen a massive decline in minutes this season, first under Vincenzo Montella and now Gennaro Gattuso, making just a lone 90 minute appearance in the Europa League versus Rijeka last month. With Bonucci and Alessio Romagnoli the preferred pairing, Musacchio the third option and Cristian Zapata just behind him, Paletta’s career is done at Milan and it’s only a matter of time until he departs.
Paletta reportedly received domestic interest from Sassuolo this month, yet it appears his next stop will be Turkey.
