Cesena’s Milan Djuric opened up the scoresheet yesterday in a 2-2 draw in front of the home crowd against top of the table Juventus
The 2014/15 season has not been a promising one for relegation-tested Cesena. The club continued their quest to try and climb back into the safety zone of Serie A with an encouraging 2-2 draw to the Bianconeri at home yesterday. The Di Carlo led side gave Juventus all they could handle at the Stadio Dino Manuzzi and Milan Djuric was a vital part of that.
After the match, the 24-year old Bosnian forward had much to stay about the opposition and their goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, as well as the performance of his club. Here is what Djuric had to say in an interview with SKY Sport:
“It was a great battle. I tried to use my body against Ogbonna and Bonucci. They also possess considerable physical gifts. Buffon was really special. We are working a lot in these last few games and today we wanted to demonstrate our whole value after the misstep of Empoli. I think we did it. The draw today gives us great confidence. Tomorrow, we will think about the game against Milan.”
After a tough earned point against Italy’s top club, Cesena will take on another Serie A giant in A.C. Milan this weekend, who they also tied in the first half of the season 1-1.
