Donadoni: “You Need Common Sense To Manage Cassano”

Parma has now not lose for 16 games in a row: an oustading streak that pushed them very high in the standings and very close to an EL spot. The architect Roberto Donadoni has been interviewed by Sky after the 4-2 road win over Milan.

“How to manage Cassano? You just need common sense, if everybody stays in his position in some occasions you clash. You need intelligence to work together in the best way. The conditions with him are clear, he knows he has to give his best in every position I put him. These are the pacts, if he doesn’t respect them, it’s his problem (laughing).”

“To be honest, this wasn’t one of the best games by my guys. Anyway, I have to congratuale the team, it’s never easy to win at San Siro. We have managed the game well, but I thank the guys for the great will and enthusiasm they conquered the victory with. Milan came back, but we scored two more goals.”

“Schelotto exploited his characteristics and combined well with Cassano. He did many cuts, playing at a very high rhythm the whole game. He showed great spirit. Before the game, I told Amauri I was in trouble, because he made excellent performances but was benched in the last two weeks. He knows how I think, he answered back with a great goal. I’m happy.”

“I’m myself, take it or leave it. I let the guys on the pitch do the talking, it’s not false modesty but the truth. We are working a lot and harvesting the fruits. We’ll do that until May, we want to continue on this road.”

“I played many years with Milan, I’m sorry for this environment at San Siro. I observe from the outside, it’s clear that a team in these conditions can be contested by the fanbase. Anyway, Rossoneri came on the pitch to win and fix the situation, I think it’s right to help the environment rather than bury it.”
