With the sale of Milan approaching its conclusion, the rossoneri are looking at tying up their phenom goalkeeper for the foreseeable future.
On January 28, the Chinese government will make their decision in regards to the expropriation of capital for the sale of Milan. Should they allow it to pass, the sale will be closed on the 3rd of March. Around that time, Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma will renew his current deal with the club.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Donnarumma and his agent Mino Raiola will begin negotiations for a new contract in March. Raiola is ready to demand the world from the rossoneri and is prepared to make astronomical demands for his client as his value continues to skyrocket. In the past both Manchester United and Real Madrid have expressed their interest in signing Donnarumma.
With Donnarumma looking to lock down his future with the club, the future of another young goalkeeper hangs in the balance. Alessandro Plizzari is subject to some interest from English giants Manchester City, who submitted a 2 million euro offer for him in the summer. Milan rejected their advances, however, Guardiola’s side intends on making another bid for the player in January. With Donnarumma’s ascent leaving little to no room for the young keeper to establish himself, his future may potentially lie away from the club.
