Stephan Lichtsteiner has recently been the subject of transfer rumors as Borussia Dortmund are keen on bringing him to Germany.
According to Premium Sport, Borussia Dortmund have presented Juventus an official offer for their right back Stephan Lichtsteiner. At the moment, the fee is unknown, however, they are confident the Germans have made concrete advances for the Swiss international. The player was left on the bench for his side’s first game of the season against Fiorentina.
With Dani Alves’ arrival from Barcelona and Juventus’ continued interest in Juan Cuadrado, it isn’t impossible that Lichtsteiner leaves the club this summer. Moreover, the former Lazio man’s contract is expiring the following summer. Lichtsteiner has reportedly asked for a salary of 3 million euros per year on his new deal, a figure Juventus are reluctant to meet. In the coming weeks, the player’s future will be more clear. At the moment, however, Lichtsteiner may just be on his way out.
