Juventus striker Paulo Dybala spoke to the media following his side’s win against Empoli and discussed his goal.
In his post-match interview with Sky, the Argentine international said:
“I needed this goal. After my goal in Zagreb, I opened my account for the season. I hope to continue like this. We played a good game, everyone was concentrated. Today, Empoli gave us a lot of space and for us, it was easier. It is very important not to concede goals. We have to continue on this victorious path and I think we did well today.”
Today, you scored playing closer to Higuain.
“He asked me to do so and I thought I was sufficiently close to him. In some games we find more spaces than in others.”
Juventus look to have regained form after a poor outing against Inter.
“Like we all said, that defeat was a necessary lesson in not underestimating any game. It was important to win before the international break.”
This was Dybala’s first goal in Serie A this season and his second goal in consecutive games. For a better understanding about how he and his teammates performed, our player ratings can be found here.
