The Italians were able to get the result they needed to advance to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.

Thomas Strakosha (6): Never really came under attack in the first half and was never truly tested in the second. A nice stat-padding clean sheet.

Felipe Luiz (6.5): After a flurry of errors in the first half, the Brazilian finished the second in style. Credited with the assist that put the game to bed.

Stefan De Vrij (7.5): Was a brick wall in defense and scored the closing goal of the match. A massive performance from the Dutchman. It’s unfathomable he will become a free agent in July.

Stefan Radu (6.5): The Romanian was impeccable in the defensive side of things. Didn’t put a foot wrong, and had a true Captain’s performance.

Patric (5): Started off well but faded quickly. Nearly committed a fatal error with a misplaced pass in the second half and was almost punished. Taken off with 20 minutes to go.

Marco Parolo (7): The Italian was a true defensive midfielder tonight and he was exactly what they needed. Recovered and intercepted everything in the midfield, which is why they dominated possession all match.

Lucas Leiva (7.5): Another midfielder who recovered a monumental about of loose balls. A leader on the pitch that Lazio have needed for a long time. His experience in big European matches showed tonight. Leader.

Luis Alberto (7): A great game for the Spaniard in a deeper role than usual. Played more as a playmaker distributing in front of the deeper Parolo and Leiva. He was also close to a goal of his own tonight as well. Lazio won the game in the middle.

Senad Lulic (6.5): The battle-hardened Bosnian gave it everything he had tonight. Some nice combination play with Anderson kept the Ukrainians at bay all night.

Felipe Anderson (7): We saw the Felipe Anderson we’ve been missing. Sharp, price and quick. Had a good game under every aspect. Needs to continue if Lazio are going to go far in this tournament.

Ciro Immobile (6): Not a good game from Immobile, he was just not sharp and lacked a lot of his usual qualities. Maybe that was the gameplan considering how much extra space he gave Anderson and Alberto.

Adam Marusic (5.5): Came on in the 72nd and just solidified things.

Felipe Caicedo (N/A):

Jordan Lukaku (6): Came on with 20 minutes to go and never stopped running.
