AC Milan rebounded after last week’s defeat to Lazio by returning to winning ways on Sunday, besting Udinese 2-1 at San Siro.

Vincenzo Montella took on heavy fire last week when his Milan were toppled in Rome by a well-managed and advantageous Lazio side.

Tactically, the Rossoneri boss did not field the proper eleven to compete in a tough environment fresh off the international break. Also, he made the costly mistake of looking towards his bench far too late when the tie had already been decided. However, Montella altered his structure for the Europa League tie versus Austria Wien days later, and redeemed himself, adjusting his gameplan correctly to yield a very convincing 5-1 result.

On Sunday, Milan returned to the friendly confines of Stadio San Siro, utilizing those same structural and tactical strategies to, once again, come away with a victory, this time in the Serie A over Udinese by the scoreline 2-1.

From the result, here are five highlighted talking points.
