Milan and Genoa met today over the Matri and Sime Vrsaljko deals, however they now seem further apart.
In an interview with FIFA Agent Luca Compiani, the Milan deal is on the ropes due to several factors, and other clubs are ready to make offers.
Genoa is in need of money and fast, however AC Milan may not be able to meet their evaluation of €8 million.
As of this moment, Milan need to make a sale in order to raise funds, which is looking more likely to be Ignazio Abate, rather than sending Alessandro Matri on loan to the Genovese.
The main roadblock for Genoa, is they “do not have the money for the[Alessandro Matri’s] salary”, unless he takes a pay-cut, it essentially ends the possible deal.
According to Compiani, he told IFD that “Sassuolo will meet with Genoa tomorrow and table a €6.5 million offer”, a sum which Prezioisi may give the ‘OK’ to.
On top of Sassuolo’s everlasting interest, Fiorentina is also interested in the Croatia international, who also may be in a position to meet the Rossoblu’s demands.
Juventus are also an option, as Sassuolo and the Bianconeri could work together. A possible solution is Sassuolo purchases Vrsaljko and then loans him to Juventus, this season or the next.
