Fiorentina took care of business, easily defeating Belenenses 4-0 in Europa League play. Giuseppe Rossi finally scored a goal, his first since May 2014.
Rossi was very emotional after the game, crying tears of joy as his teammates applauded him in the locker room. A healthy Rossi is arguably not only Fiorentina’s most important striker, but also vital for the Azzurri.
Many fans of Italian football were delighted to see Giuseppe Rossi aka “Pepito” play a full 90 minutes and get a goal. We share some of the reactions here, but first take a look at Rossi’s goal in case you missed it.
Fiorentina continue to impress under Sousa, their football is even rivalling their strip. Great to see Beppe Rossi back on the scoresheet.
