Fantacalcio Week 4: Five Players To Buy

Week four of Serie A gets underway on Saturday with Parma traveling north to Milano to take on Internazionale at the San Siro.

For me, Ivan Perisic stands out as a must grab for Inter as he’s started off the campaign with two goals and an assist in three games. Parma’s defense is known to have serious lapses in concentration, and has been exploited already a handful of times this season. Perisic is a solid buy and a very likely candidate to get on the scoresheet.

Then there’s Napoli vs Fiorentina at the Stadio San Paolo, also on Saturday. Marco Benassi (Fiorentina) and Piotr Zielinski (Napoli) are both in excellent form heading into this one and are both great candidates to play in any fantasy formation. Zielinski is coming off an impressive international break while Benassi didn’t play a minute for Italy. I’d take the Pole, as without Jorginho, the attacks seem to always flow through him.

Two Poles in my top five buys? You’re absolutely right. Krzysztof Piątek has been unstoppable so far this season, against a Bologna side who has been nothing short of a train-wreck. Genoa should use him as the target man over Pandev, with the Macedonian playing more as a target-striker than the main goalscoring threat. A cheap buy with the potential for a high-return.

Torino travels to Udinese on Sunday and I see this one being a high goal-scoring game. Andrea Belotti seems to be finally fit and does have a goal in three games so far. The Zebrette’s backline is a major question mark and has yet to be fully tested so far this season. Fiorentina scrapped a 1-0 win in week three, but I could see Belotti grabbing a goal or two before full time on Sunday.

If you’re in need of a defender this week, Kostas Manolas could be the right fit for you. Sure, Roma’s defense has been all over the place, but a home match against Chievo could be just what the doctor ordered for them to get back on track. I expect Roma to dominant the game in terms of possession, meaning the Flying Donkeys may be grounded with only one or two chances all match long, tops.
