On November 21 we remarked that Juventus fan clubs that occupy the suspended Curva Nord and Curva Sud were unhappy that the club did not appeal the suspension emanated by the Italian football federation, the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC), and were threatening Juventus brass with abstaining from supporting the team with their chants and banners during the key Champions League match at the Juventus Stadium against Copenhagen FC.
Fan concerns have been addressed. In fact, Juventus FC quietly moved to appeal the Curva Sud‘s admonishment that followed Juventus-Genoa. That admonishment turned into a suspension since discriminatory chants of a territorial nature were heard again during the following home game, Juventus-Napoli.
However, today the FIGC’s Federal Court of Justice rejected Juventus’ appeal. Thus, Juventus’ Curva Sud ‘s suspension stands until further unforeseen developments.
