Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa analysed La Viola’s game against Qarabag in which they attained a formidable 5-1 victory.
Talking to FirenzeViola.it, Paulo Sousa gave his summary of their Europa League tie with Qarabag:
“The win tonight for us is a great satisfaction. We are working on the coexistence of two strikers in order to realize the potential of more goals and to more win games. Today some of our dynamics were very good. I am not at all satisfied with the approach that we had in the game, we did not have a lot of respect for an education that gave way to other problems.”
“This time an episode that was favorable to us changed the course of the match.”
Sousa on which of his players performed well during the game:
“The exultation and the dedication of Zarate? He is full of emotions: Mauro wanted to be on the field today, and did deliver a beautiful message to his wife, for him this is a way to be close to his family.”
“It is not only in the field because we play with two strikers: we always want to improve in the number of crosses and our precision getting into the box. The midfield and Vecino? He’s a player who last year was very important for us. Cristian has already integrated, he is a clever player and has international experience.”
“The words of Dragowski? He’s thinking about the director: I am very clear with everyone, I need not repeat myself. Kalinic? He lives for football, on the field he is always proving to have an attitude which gives us everything: we have some very good players so it makes me one of the happiest coaches in the world “
