Roma gave it all they had, but ended up falling 2-0 to Real Madrid at home.

Speaking to Premium Sport after the match, Roma’s captain Alessandro Florenzi was steadfast that his side had played a good game.

“We played one of the best games of the season against a top team that fought until the end for the win. We wanted a bit of luck and some common sense, and I’m talking about the missed penalty call. The referee decides, but we’re bitter because we played well and didn’t deserve to lose like this. If the fans applauded us it’s because they saw a good Roma. You can’t give Cristiano Ronaldo any space, it’s a shame that they were lucky on the goal.”
