Napoli striker, Manolo Gabbiadini, has been suspended two matches for his red card against Crotone and will miss this weekends clash against first place Juventus as well as a midweek clash against Empoli.
The 24 year old striker has had a rough season thus far as many have criticized his play after the severe injury to Arkadiusz Milik.
Since his move to Napoli, Gabbiadini has never seemed completely comfortable with the Partenopei. Napoli were able to overcome bottom feeders Crotone this past weekend despite Gabbiadini being sent off in the 31st minute after showing serious unsportsmanlike conduct following a foul.
It is unclear whether the club will appeal the decision but it is certain he will be unavailable for coach Maurizio Sarri after the Giudice Sportivo gave Manolo a 2 match ban which will see him miss the matches against Empoli and Juventus.
This means Napoli go to J Stadium without an actual striker. Depending on how Maurizio Sarri wants to approach the match, Napoli may have to succumb to the False 9 against the league leaders, where one of Dries Mertens or Lorenzo Insigne will start at striker.
